ABOUT

The Dryden Flying Club was formed in the early 1950’s for the purpose of bringing local aviation enthusiasts together to meet socially. Over the years the club has grown in scope, filling more needs for the flying community. The Dryden Flying Club owns the only float equipped airplane available for rent in Northwestern Ontario. The airplane serves multiple purposes. It not only gives members a chance to do some recreational flying/traveling, but also provides new pilots, seeking to get into the aviation industry, a chance to build time in order to meet the hours required to qualify for a commercial license.

The Flying Club provides airplane ramp space for both members and transient aircraft traveling through our area. We mentor aspiring pilots, provide access to pilot training and host safety seminars required for all pilots.

The Flying Club is a place for people to get together. The facility is not only used by the members, but also the whole community. Its location on the water makes it a beautiful spot to hold meetings and outdoor events. Every summer weddings are performed on the grounds. In the winter we host the DDRA Snow Drags which draws people from all over. Various groups, clubs and individuals use our clubhouse for gatherings throughout the year.

Club Members generally meet on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm. If you are interested in becoming a member, feel free to stop by at a meeting and say hi!
